Terms of service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Leontev and Partners Ltd. ("we", "us", "LinguaCommunity") governing your use of lingua.community and the LinguaCommunity mobile and desktop applications (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the Service.

## 1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 16, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible together with you for compliance. The Service is not available to anyone under 13.

By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, and you agree to keep it up to date.

## 2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately at support@lingua.community if you believe someone else has accessed it.

One person, one account. You may not share access with anyone else.

## 3. User content

"User content" means anything you create, upload or transmit through the Service: chat messages, learning materials, comments, reviews, whiteboard content, images, files, profile information and any other material.

You keep the rights to your content. By posting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and transmit that content to the extent needed to operate the Service.

You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the right to post it.

## 4. Objectionable content and behaviour: zero tolerance

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users.

You must not post, transmit or otherwise share through the Service any content that:

- is abusive, demeaning, threatening, harassing or constitutes bullying;

- incites hatred or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other characteristic;

- is pornographic or sexually explicit, or is sexual material involving minors in any form;

- encourages or glorifies violence, self-harm, illegal drug use or other dangerous activity;

- infringes the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any third party;

- is spam, fraudulent or deceptive, or contains malicious software;

- discloses another person's private information without their consent;

- breaks any applicable law.

You must also not stalk or harass other users, impersonate anyone, evade a block placed on you by another user, or create a new account to replace one we have removed.

Breaching this section results in immediate removal of the content and may result in suspension or deletion of your account, without prior notice and without refund.

## 5. Reporting, moderation and blocking

The Service gives you tools to protect yourself:

- Report. Every piece of user content — materials, comments, reviews, chat messages and profiles — carries a report control where you can flag it and tell us why.

- A response within 24 hours. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaches these Terms, and act against the person responsible, up to and including deleting their account.

- Block. You can block any user from their profile. A blocked person cannot message you, and their materials, comments and reviews stop appearing to you immediately. Blocked users are listed under Settings → Help and legal, where a block can also be lifted.

We may remove content and suspend access at our discretion where we believe these Terms have been breached, including without a report having been made.

## 6. Lessons and payment

The Service connects learners with teachers for one-to-one lessons. The terms of any lesson, including its price, are agreed between the learner and the teacher directly. We are not a party to those arrangements and are not responsible for the quality of lessons, but we do act on reports about the conduct of participants under section 5.

## 7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or where your conduct in our reasonable judgement harms other users or the Service.

## 8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, and we are not responsible for user content created by others. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data.

## 9. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes in the Service or by email. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
